Business Help 4 All

For businesses, self-employed people and new ideas — how to work with the Help Desk.

Global Help Desk — available 24/7.

As part of our Verify & Fortify approach, here we focus on the Fortify side — strengthening brand, offer, pricing and strategy.

About Us

Independent. Practical. Community-focused.

The Community Business Help Desk is an independent civic initiative, not a consultancy. It exists to give people an accessible first place to think out loud about a business question.

VS

Vincent Salvatore

Director, Community Business Help Desk

Vincent leads the Help Desk, offering an independent business perspective across strategy, offer, pricing, brand, business models, AI and commercial decision-making. He works with people at every stage — from a first idea to an established business — to help clarify the question in front of them.

A small business team in an open, informal conversation

The Help Desk itself is the initiative that people rely on — built to be a consistent, dependable first point of contact, whoever happens to be on the other end of the conversation.

The Help Desk is an always-online service, accessible to everyone, everywhere — with in-person conversations available where possible. Every conversation is treated with the same independence and confidentiality, regardless of the size or stage of the business.

What we talk about

Bring whatever you're working on.

You do not need to know exactly what kind of support you need before contacting us. Start with the question.

How it works

Three simple steps.

1

Start a conversation

Tell us the question, challenge or idea you are working on.

2

Talk it through

Get an independent perspective, practical guidance and possible next steps.

3

Decide what happens next

Sometimes a conversation is all that is needed. If practical implementation or hands-on work is required, this can be discussed separately.

Free or paid

A clear line between talking and doing.

● Always free

Free talk & advice — always.

Conversation, guidance, second opinions and general business advice are free.

Only if needed

Hands-on work — paid, only if needed.

If someone asks for active implementation, research, creation, planning, review or other practical work, that can be discussed separately.

Who it's for

Wherever you are, start here.

A shop owner chatting with an advisor outside her store

Existing businesses

For owners facing questions around growth, pricing, positioning, customers or strategy.

A self-employed café owner talking with an advisor holding a clipboard

Self-employed professionals

For people who want an independent perspective on their business.

A market stallholder discussing her business with someone taking notes

New founders

For people testing an idea or deciding what to do next.

A diverse group of people chatting together outside

People with an idea

You do not need to already own a company to start a conversation.

Verify & Fortify Program

Two steps. One stronger business.

Verify & Fortify names two different jobs in the same journey. First, a professional partner — an accountant, a lawyer, a Chamber of Commerce or another institution — verifies that the foundations are correct: company structure, regulations, taxes, licences, contracts and hiring. Then the Help Desk fortifies what makes the business competitive: brand, positioning, offer, pricing, strategy and growth.

VERIFY.FORTIFY. VERIFY makes sure you can operate. FORTIFY makes sure you can compete.
Step 1 · Partner · Verify

Verify — the foundations

Before anything else, the professional partner checks that the business is properly set up.

  • Procedures, documents and compliance
  • Permits, licences and processes
  • Taxes, filings and obligations
  • Technical or professional advice
  • Translations or related services
  • Administrative support for clients
Step 2 · Help Desk · Fortify

Fortify — the business

Once the foundations are correct, the Help Desk strengthens what makes the business competitive.

  • Brand, offer and pricing
  • Business ideas and priorities
  • AI and digital tools
  • Productivity and human capital
  • Strategy, clarity and action plan
1

First, verify: structure, regulations, taxes, licences, contracts and hiring, checked by your organisation.

2

Then, fortify: brand, offer, pricing, positioning and growth, built with the Community Business Help Desk.

3

Partner = Verify. Help Desk = Fortify. Together = a stronger business.

You verify the foundations. We fortify the business. Together, we give the client a more complete path to success.
Partnership

Who can partner with us.

Councils, chambers of commerce, universities and community organisations can link people to the Help Desk — at no cost, on a non-exclusive basis.

The Community Business Help Desk can work alongside councils, business organisations, chambers of commerce, community organisations, professional associations, universities, incubators, embassies and consulates, diaspora organisations, founder communities and local institutions.

Organisations can simply link businesses, entrepreneurs or community members who may benefit from having someone to talk to. The initiative is non-exclusive and is designed to complement existing services, not replace them.

Joining the Verify & Fortify Program is free and open to any organisation that wants to link people to us.

Scope

What the Help Desk does — and does not do.

Clear boundaries help both people asking for support and organisations linking them.

What it does
  • Listens to the problem or idea
  • Provides guidance and a second opinion
  • Creates planners and action plans
  • Helps clarify the offer, price and priorities
What it does not do
  • Does not manage social media or Google Ads
  • Does not build websites, apps or digital platforms
  • Does not develop AI tools, bots or automations
  • Does not take on day-to-day operational management
